Can I become an authorized reseller?
Yes, if your primary business involves reselling IT products to your customers.
The reselling process is simple. After the initial setup, you can independently manage sales, including generating quotes, invoices, and licenses through our automated purchase system. This saves time and allows you to deliver products to your customers efficiently.
Note: If you represent a consultancy firm that uses our components to develop solutions for your clients, you are not eligible for a reseller discount. Only companies specializing in software retail qualify for this discount.
How do I become an authorized reseller?
If a customer needs to purchase Documentize products through you, follow these steps to become an authorized reseller:
- Create an account on our website. This account will be used for forums, purchases, and the reseller system.
- Email sales@documentize.com with a brief description of your business and why you want to become a Documentize reseller.
- Our team will review your request. If approved, you must list Documentize products on your website, agree to our Reseller Policy, and you will be granted a discount rate.
- You can then start placing orders for your customers.
How do I request a reseller quote?
You don’t need to. As an authorized reseller, your partner pricing will automatically display for all products and plans in the purchase system.
What discount do you offer for resellers?
Authorized resellers receive a 10% discount off the retail price.
When ordering for my customer, do I have to enter my end user’s details?
Yes. You must enter your customer’s details as the shipping address and your details as the billing address. Once payment is processed, the system creates an account for your customer using the provided shipping address and links the license to that account. If your customer already has an account, the license will automatically associate with their existing username.
Do resellers help customers with technical support?
Resellers are not expected to provide technical support on behalf of customers unless explicitly requested. If a customer asks for support, it must be sought through the support forums, not via sales or business channels.
How do resellers pay?
Reseller orders must be paid by wire transfer. New resellers must pay for their first three orders in advance by wire transfer before receiving the license file. If needed, Documentize can issue a temporary license for your customer before the permanent one is released.
Established resellers will receive a monthly billing statement listing all unpaid orders. Payment should be made within 30 days. Failure to pay on time will result in interest charges and future orders requiring advance payment.
What happens when an order is successfully paid?
Once payment is accepted, you’ll receive an email with the order details and an invoice PDF. You’ll also get an email containing the license file and instructions on how to apply it. It is your responsibility to forward the license file to your customer.
Can I have a signed Reseller Agreement?
No, agreeing to be a Documentize Reseller means you accept our Reseller Policy. Like our Product EULA, this policy helps us operate efficiently and stay Paper Free.
Note: Order and license details are available in the purchase system. You can view order and price information, while your customer can access the license file and general order information, such as order ID and SKU, but not the pricing details.
For US resellers, how is tax applied to reseller orders?
US sales tax on reseller orders is based on the reseller’s location, not the customer’s location. If you do not provide a valid reseller exemption certificate at the time of order, US sales tax will be automatically applied. Please contact us to submit or update a reseller exemption certificate.
