Upgrade Policy
You can upgrade an order at any time as long as your maintenance subscription is still active. The full cost of your original purchase is credited towards the upgrade, meaning you only pay the difference between the upgrade order and your original order. Note that only one order can be used as credit for an upgrade.
While upgrades can be done at any time, there are benefits to upgrading sooner:
- Upgrade within 90 days of purchase or renewal: Your subscription’s maintenance expiry date resets, giving you another full year of active maintenance.
- Upgrade during your subscription: Your subscription’s maintenance expiry date remains unchanged and stays the same as the original order.
- Upgrade within the last 90 days of your subscription: You will need to renew your maintenance subscription along with the upgrade. The expiry date will then reset, providing another full year of maintenance.
What is an Upgrade?
The following scenarios qualify as upgrades:

Upgrading from a lower pricing plan to a more expensive plan of the same product. For example, you can upgrade from a Documentize.Optimizer for .NET Developer to a Documentize.Optimizer for .NET Site. However, you cannot upgrade from a lower plan for one product to a higher plan for a different product (e.g., from Documentize.Optimizer for .NET Developer to Documentize.Optimizer for .NET Site).

Adding more products to your order. If you have an order with Documentize.Optimizer, you can add Documentize.ImageExtractor. To upgrade, select both products in your order: Documentize.Optimizer and Documentize.ImageExtractor.
How to Upgrade an Existing Order
- Ensure you are signed in to the account that made the original purchase; otherwise, the order will not appear in your order history.
- Go to Upgrade an Order, select the order you wish to upgrade, and follow the instructions.
