No Checks Policy

Historically, checks have played a significant role in commerce, serving as a widely accepted form of payment for most businesses. However, with advancements in technology and banking, checks have become more costly and time-consuming compared to other payment methods. Additionally, checks are vulnerable to fraud, which can be a complex and stressful issue for businesses to address. Noelle Knox, editor of CFO Journal at The Wall Street Journal, recently highlighted these drawbacks in an article about the negative impact of checks.

Being based in Australia, Documentize faces unique challenges related to check payments. Checks from international clients can take two to three weeks to arrive, causing delays in the delivery of license files and resulting in client frustration. If mail is lost or misdirected, resolving the issue can require extensive communication and take several months.

For these reasons, and as part of our ongoing paperless initiative, Documentize will no longer accept payments by check. We encourage clients to make payments via credit card or wire transfer.
