Overview

When you purchase a license, it comes with a one-year subscription to software updates. If you choose not to renew your subscription, your software maintenance will expire after 12 months, and you will no longer receive updates. Renewing your software maintenance is optional and can be done anytime before your maintenance expiration to ensure uninterrupted access to support and updates.

Even if your subscription has expired, you are still entitled to free technical support. Note that paid support is not included with the license and must be added separately.

Your license remains valid indefinitely: once purchased, it is yours to use for as long as needed. However, without a subscription, you cannot download and install product versions released after your subscription expires. Attempting to license a newer version will result in an error, such as:

The subscription included in this license allows free upgrades until 19 Oct 2018, but this version of the product was released on 28 Oct 2019. Please renew the subscription or use a previous version of the product.

Checking Your Expiry Date

To check your subscription expiry date, log in to your account on our website and view your subscription details. You can also open your license file in a text editor to find the expiry date.

Renewal Costs and Subscription Period

Renewal costs vary depending on when and how you renew your subscription. Details on renewal pricing can be found on the Renew a Subscription page. Each subscription period lasts 365 days (1 year).

For convenience, you can extend your subscription for up to 4 years in advance. Once that period ends, you can renew again for the same duration with the applicable renewal discount.

There is no limit to the number of times you can renew your subscription year after year.

We highly recommend maintaining your subscription to ensure access to the latest features and updates. Subscriptions not only provide new features and enhancements but also essential updates for compatibility with evolving technologies and standards.
